Lost was AMAZING

If you think otherwise then you were not watching the same series I watched. I think the difference between those of us who are disappointed and those of us who thought it was the most brilliant thing ever on TV was that you have to understand..The Island was just a character.

When I say that I mean, that people were expecting some kind of explanation for the show to be wrapped up in the island and it was more about the people the whole time. If you think about it whole episodes were dedicated to character development and explorations of the motivations and growth of each of these people we grew to love. The island was a place where they all happened to meet. Where they learned to become better people. The island had mysterious properties, places and people that lent to the trials and tribulations that each of the characters encountered. The beautiful part about how this series ended was we had the answers to the island all along.

Q-Why were there Polar bears?

A- The Dharma Initiative bought them to experiment with. (Mystery solved like 3 seasons ago)

Q-Why was Widmore interested in the island?

A-It had mysterious properties and he wanted to shield it from others.(They point blank told you that)

Q-Why did people keep coming to the island? Why couldn't they leave?

A- Jacob bought them there and then wouldn't let them leave.

My point is everything that was told to us throughout the series was an answer. We just somehow thought there was more to it surrounding the island! But once we discover the island is exactly what it is, a strange place with a strange history and electromagnetic properties as well as an important light that must be protected, that's where the significance of the island ends!

What was important all along was the character's journey. In the final minutes of the finale we realize that everyone is dead and they are moving onto together. I wish I didn't have to say this but some people are dense. THEY WERE NOT DEAD ON THE ISLAND! As Christian Shephard said some people had died before Jack and some long long after. This is evidenced by the exchange with Hurley and Ben where they reminisce on their time on the island. It is clear that they lived on the island for many years before they ended up at the church. It is also clear that the alternate reality or "flash sideways" was purgatory. They all went there at their various times of death and continued to work out their issues and "let go" before they could all meet at the church. That is why they were such different people in this reality.

Everything else was REAL. They did go back to the island a second time. They were obligated to save their friends! The flash forwards were a peek into the lives some of them had once they got off the island.

Overall this was a great ending to a show that so many of us loved for six years. It was a full journey with the characters we loved and hated week after week. And the ending being full circle with Jack's eye closing was a perfect way to close out the series (no fade to black!)

I am completely satisfied and fulfilled by this ending and I think a lot more people once they re watch the finale will be too!

Lost with LOST

I refuse to postulate on this blog about what is going on on this show. I am way past theories, and having conversations with fellow Losties regarding the show. I think I'm actually getting depressed from it.

It is a show I like to watch alone now, in my bed under my covers. When people get on ichat and start chattering about what they think I get angry. I tell them "I don't care", 'Whatever", "Im not watching anymore!" But like a crack junkie too weak to stop, I go back to ABC every Tuesday at 9:00pm to have my mind messed with.

Unlike many viewers I didn't watch 3 or 4 seasons of Lost on DVD to catch up with the hype. I am a LOST original. I started watching season 1 right after it aired and have been watching in real-time. Meaning I have dedicated almost 6 years of my life to an unhealthy obssesion with being totally confused for a hour a week. Shamefully I have dragged countless people into this addiction with me. My poor fiance was never allowed to call me while Lost was on, so out of love and curisoity of what had me so hooked he began to watch 4 seasons all while studying for the NY Bar. One night he left it on while his brother was visiting from Portland and another one bit the dust.

One of the questions on my job interview for my current job was "Soo what do you watch on TV". As I ticked off the highlights and got to LOST I could see my interviewers eyes light up! It was totally a prerequisite to this job that you had to watch LOST and religously we gather around every morning after the show and speculate on what we think. But recently, I have been silent.

I am so annoyed!!!!

I mean I could go on for hours regarding the billions and billions of questions I have but I won't. Just suffice to say that I really doubt at the rate we are going that we will ever circle around to little things like polar bears and Walt's secret powers. We are just way too deep in the rabbit's hole. ABC and their extra annoying promos telling me "Questions will be answered" GO TO HELL ABC! They know exactly what they are doing jerking us along and all I can say if this ends in anyway like Dallas or The Sopranos, I'm burning something down!

I also have a bone to pick with Jack AND Sawyer. The are ALWAYS effin stuff up! Like for real you have been on the island for 3 years? Plus you travelled through time over a span of 40 years or something...Why do you keep throwing tantrums and questioning things? Obviously anything can happen! So please stop eating up precious episode time and plot advancement with your BS. I feel like punching Matthew Fox in the face!

OK RANT OVER..

PS I mean look how many people are in that picture!!! This is getting wayyyy out of hand..agreed?

Love,
MissKK

TV on DVD alert

Before spring finally shows its face, we might have a few more weekends where we just want to be lazy and watch some TV. There is a plethora of things to watch during the week, but for those of us who like a good DVD marathon, I HIGHLY reccomend Sons of Anarchy.

This show usually airs on FX which is a channel a lot of people skip over. But for YEARS has been putting out high quality, premium channel worthy content. Nip/Tuck, Damages, and The Shield are all FX originals and they are/were fantastic television (Nip/Tuck has jumped the shark but that's another post).

I had never heard of Sons of Anarchy until this past fall. My co-worker would religously recap every detail of the show to a friend who ALWAYS seemed to miss the original airing over the phone. I'm telling you this girl is better then pressing play on your DVR. Overhearing snippets about gangs, and gun-running, the IRA, prison. It sounded like a possible replacement for the void that The Wire had left. So on a recent trip cross country trip I decided to load up my iTunes and dig in....

Sons of Anarchy (SOA) features a motorcycle gang that fiercly protects, each other and their small town in Northen California. Through the various and elaborate illegal dealings of the motorcycle gang we the viewers are dragged deeper and deeper into a world where cops will look the other way and the rules of "the club" regin supreme even above one's family.

For the ladies, this is one that you can get your man into as well. It has enough grit and illegal acitvity that he will be sucked in for hours on end. If you watch Gangland with a dropped jaw you will love this show!

Season 1 and 2 are available on iTunes and on DVD

Just because Drake told you to do it...

OK people, I'm back...this had just been sitting in limbo never published...so I'll start off with something that has been on my mind for quite a few months!

Ladies and Gentlemen (yes there are some former Zima drinking men that this is addressed to as well)-

It all started off as fun and games but I have a SERIOUS concern for the massive amount of people I see acting like Moscato is a delicious, acceptable, EVERY occasion wine..IT IS NOT!

Some people are going to be upset about this as they sit at work dying to get to their large size Moscato on chill to "help them unwind" after their stressful workday. More power to you and please if you really enjoy drinking fortified dessert wine by the gallon that is great, but let's stop acting like this is some kind of symbol of status or better yet an acceptable drink of choice because we were told it was by the rapper Drake. No one knew what Moscato was until he decided it rhymed with the word "bravo". He also decided that it was meant to be consumed with lobster and shrimp, so it is now paired with some of our more gourmet meals.

I mean some people even think it can be cooked with:

RT @MR_NOFLAW Soo I'm steaming sum fish and I poured sum moscato in it 2 see what its gon 2 taste like...always experimenting in the kitchen

-via Twitter

Anyways this isn't meant to knock anyone's taste because I truly believe as people of color we have a penchant for sweet things (tea, kool-aid whatever) But I am just hoping we can put cheap Moscato and keep Moscato in the category it is (think Hypnotiq, Boone's Farm etc.) So please don't bring bottles as housewarming gifts or look for Sutter Home Moscato on the wine list (it wont be there!)

Thanks for listening,

Miss KK

Bitch*ss Nick Cannon just got handled!

I have one celebrity who I can't stand more than Brandy (that's a long story) it's Nick Cannon. Nick Cannon stood on neutral ground for the longest time in my mind until back in March when things went terribly wrong.

I was reading a blog that claimed that he was threatening Mariah's fans (her lambs) via email telling women that "he was a grown man" and that they could meet face to face or something to that effect. Another blog speculated that a blind item about a celebrity that really couldn't afford the wedding ring he had purchased was about him and Mariah Carey. Nick decided to actually give this silliness attention and addressed the blog in the comment section. He then proceeded to give his "haters" his email address so that if they had anything to say he could personally address them. Well...I didnt have anything important going on so I decided to write Nick an e-mail not hating, just letting him know where people were coming from with some of their issues with his current actions and petty back and forth with the general public

The email read as follows:

Hi Nick!

I just have a few things to say and these are not mean spirited at all I'm just saying... Before I begin I sincerely hope this is all a well orchestrated business move and you are in a deal with Bossip to push traffic to their site...cause if not posting their link on your page is just throwing away good money...but if you arent that savvy all that is below applies:

1) Its Bossip..it is not a credible news source, they just took a blind item from Page Six and speculated. That is what you are supposed to do after all. I think it is really silly of you to address this non sense, as you are just fueling the fire.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/03162009/gossip/pagesix/just_asking_159789.htm There is the link you asked for. So no they aren't totally fabricating stuff...google would have helped you find that just like it aided me.

2) "Ridiculous! I just got like 3 new major multi million dollar deals in the last 2 months."
-Nick Cannon

No Nick the ridiculous one is you...celebrities with multi million dollar deals and real jobs, don't have the time to do ALL that you are doing. They have assistants post some generic twitters, upcoming appearances and then they keep it moving. For someone with such a happy marriage and such a successful career you sure do spend alot of time on the Internet addressing issues.

3) You have been in the game WAY too long to care what people are saying. Please keep your personal business and finances just that...PERSONAL. You are coming across as trying to stay relevant via silly tactics rather then through legitimate work.

4) Nick finally it is important that you realize that not everyone is a "Hater" (your favorite word) while I'm sure your inbox is flooded with nonconstructive criticism, I just hope that you are able to read some of the suggestions and open your heart to them. I honestly had to take a moment to write to you because you are looking like a "bitchass" right now. Black woman to Black man I would like you to maintain some shred of dignity this week so I just thought I would let you know.

Ok Hun get back to work (on something that's putting money in your pocket)

-Miss KK

Well...In less then 24 hours, I got an email back. Now I choose to believe this wasn't REALLY Nick but who knows, even still the fact that you might have an assistant or intern trying to punk us regular people on your dime still makes it just as bad if you had inked this yourself:

With all due respect Miss KK (yes this negro used my NAME) , It boggles my mind that you would imply because I am on the internet frequently that 1, I am not running my companies and working and 2, I am not focusing on my marriage. It's called mastering time management and multi tasking. I function on 20 hour days, not sure if you understand that. And as I know that I don't have to reply to websites or even people like you but there is a method to my madness.

So anyways...Nick Cannon is on my badside for being the whackest person walking the face of this earth. What saddens me is that I love love love Mariah and he is bringing her stock WAY down. In fact, he has talked her into doing something that she should have never done, like making a video in which she claimed that Eminem was "Obsessed" with her. Well apparently the history of all that was that they used to sleep together prior to her marriage. BIG MISTAKE on her part because now that she opened the flood gates Eminem is spilling the beans. He is targeting Mariah hard and Nick is definitely caught in the crossfire. I am soooo looking forward to my favorite bitch*ss defending against THIS:

Sidenote poor Mimi..I still love you girl!!!

Tee Hee Hee...Nationals Edition

As a former employee of Washington Nationals Franchise, I like to keep up with how they are doing. However don't get confused the Yankees will win the World Series this year and I will repost this prediction. GO YANKEES!

Anyone who is a baseball fan or who lives in the D.C. area knows that this team is a HAWT MESS! They go out on the field with the name on their uniform spelled wrong. They blow EVERY lead like its their job and they refuse to make any changes! Complacency is NOT the answer

Anyways, I left those suckers in the dust. My name had to remain pristine, not only is the product poor but so is the business model. Two years out and I still get a chuckle out of all the fails and now courtesy of this blog so will you. I will be featuring some of the epic fails and the utter misery of the baseball fans of the DC area from here on out.

Let's being with Austin Kearns "slide"

You might want to say he tripped, but to me if you are hardly making it on base the very least you can do is stay on your feet at such a crucial moment in the game. Plus doesn't he look postively confused and frightned in the pickle..LMAO poor AK!!!

So that's all to say, you couldn't GIVE these tickets away. But we can continue to watch clips like this for free and giggle. There will be plently more to come TRUST ME!

UMMM yea...no

There is nothing to say about this at all...it speaks for itself..

Ron Artest's tribute to Michael Jackson:

Quantcast
The Lakers have a real winner on their team now!

Has anyone else...

Watched that first episode of Glee multiple times???!!!

I cannot wait for this show to air! Fox knew they had something to be able to play ONE episode and then keep us waiting all summer long for the rest. I promise it's addicting.

If you haven't seen it check it out:

The series will start to air Wednesday, September 16th 9:oopm EST...but seriously I can't wait that long!!

Hulu Desktop & Amazon on Demand

Image search at PicPoke.com picture courtesy of tiny pic

I know I'm not putting anyone onto anything new with Hulu. But what I think alot of us are missing out on is the wonderfulness that is Hulu desktop. It allows you to use Hulu without going through your browser and I think the design of the site is so much fun. For those of us who are tech savvy (not me) you can hook up your computer to your TV with an HDMI cable and the quality is just like watching it on the channel it airs on. If your computer has a remote you're all set, you never have to get up from the couch. It will make you think twice about paying the cable bill (although I'm not ready to give up the premium channels).

Another thing I discovered is Amazon on Demand. This comes in handy when you are sitting at work on twitter and EVERYONE is still talking about how Nene on Housewives got all up in Kim's grill. Unfortunately that work happy hour last night turned into a 5 hour drinking disaster and you missed it.You go to Bravo.com and of course they don't have all the episodes, just boring clips and no matter where you google you just cannot find last night's episode.

Amazon on Demand to the rescue!

For a small fee, usually less then $2 you can be up on the latest in no time rather then trying to pin down some illegal or shady version of an episode. You must be saying why is this different then itunes? Well its sooo much better than itunes because not only can you download the video to watch anywhere, the video will also stream, meaning you don't have to wait for that sometimes long download that happens with itunes. You can also access your video from any computer by logging onto your Amazon account, there is no need to worry about how many authorizations you have left.

currently the download option is not available on Macs (hmm go figure) but a solution is probably being worked out

Michael Jackson Extravaganza

Image and video hosting by TinyPic photo courtesy of Tinypic

I'm just going to go ahead and say it. My lil heart must look like the Grinch's because I'm just not wrapping my head around this whole Michael Jackson lovefest going on around me.

Currently, I am sitting here listening (not by choice) to my coworker playing EVERY Michael song on his earphones.

Before I launch into my rant, I'd like to go ahead and say for all the people who will try to label me, I have excellent and diverse taste in music, I don't have anything against him for the child molestation charges (anymore) and I am NOT a hater. That all being said...

YA'LL need to stop!!

Some of ya'll are being absurd. I've ridden in many a car and been in many a club with some of you people and you weren't flipping through your ipod to get to your favorite MJ song, nor were your running to the DJ booth to request "Man in the Mirror".

There is only one person I know who when they played Michael at the end of the night in the college bar got TRUE enjoyment out of it (you know who you are Miss), the rest of us were busy trying to get to the pizza spot or Wawa.

So when my coworker (the same one drowning their sorrows in the music right now) jumped up to tell me Michael had a heart attack last week, I felt concerned obviously. I also knew that there would be some interesting news unfolding when I got home from work that day. Unfortunately things turned out for the worse and I was immeadiately saddened for the loss of life. I can certainly remember new Michael Jackson videos after the super bowl and my mom introducing me to her childhood "boy band" the Jackson 5. However that is where my reminiscing stopped. What has transipred over the past week amongst the general public is just not something that I can comprehend.

There are people getting Michael Jackson tattoos, people listening to him on repeat, people throwing themed parties. I mean the music has been around for 20 plus years yet this man was holding onto to some of his last assets to keep him afloat. Noone was holding up his music the way they are all of sudden now that he has passed. People were scrambling for Beyonce tickets, begging Jay-z not to retire, but I don't recall ever having a conversation about when Michael was coming out with a new album and I for one don't know anyone who had one of the tickets for the 50 concerts. Yet, now everyone is Michael's biggest fan.

I find it to be really disingenuous and EXTRA how some people are acting. You are not obligated to let us now that you are crying or can't leave the house or don't want to go to work today because Michael Jackson passed away. I know its the cool thing to do but I for one will still accept you if you are real with yourself. By all means miss the man, enjoy the music occasionally, watch the concert extravangaza today online instead of doing real work (cause I will be), but all this other crap has to stop.

The Great Debate

All this week at 10pm EST on VH1 they are playing a special called the Great Debate where various celebs and comics are going to debate topics ranging from Lindsay Lohan to the Snuggie. It looks like a promising way to waste time during the 10 o clock hour and a fun thing to watch with the boo or friends for a laugh and your own mini debate. You can also log onto VH1 or twitter and debate with total strangers..right now twitter is running away with the twitter vs facebook vote and lots of heated words are being exchanged. Don't we all have these same arguments on gchat all day at work?? LOL

Summer T.V.

I'm waiting for the TV execs to get wise to the fact that we are all broke right about now. For the most part we are sitting home on Twitter with a glass of wine (2 buck Chuck HOLLA!!) wishing there was something good on TV since the cable bill is soo damn expensive. As my friend Phil points out "I don't pay my cable bill only 8 months out of the year." That is to say this summer hiatus crap is BS!

That being said a few things have emerged to entertain us over the summer mostly on premium cable.

The Gold Standard of TV

True Blood HBO Sundays 9:00 PM

Vampires are making a come back just like a lot of early 90s trends. (Think NKOTB and doc martens were def in style along with Interview with The Vampire).

Although I am HUGE fan of the Twilight series I can understand its lack of appeal to my peers. HBO has the answer for that with True Blood now entering its second season, this show has romance, suspense, the supernatural and humor.

Bought to you by Alan Ball who was also responsible for Six Feet Under this show can be watched on the surface level but also on the deeper level which Alan meant for viewers to watch it on.  On the HBO website Ball who has won an Emmy and an Academy award calls this show "popcorn for smart people". Ball as an openly gay screenwriter seems to want society to really explore the truths and consequences of our trends towards evangelicalism as well as our treatment of those in our society whom we do not see as mainstream, in this case vampires. It is a thought provoking exciting show that makes you wish everyday was Sunday.
Psych USA Network Fridays 10:00PM EST

You probably have never heard of it, yet it is entering its 4th season for a reason. This show is hilarious and it doesn't take a whole lot of DVD watching to catch up as each show is a separate mystery. I would however recommend the DVDs for a lazy day they are really fun to watch.

The basic premise is that the son (Shawn) of a former police detective in Santa Barbara, California opens up his own detective agency rather then become an officer. His claim to fame is that he is psychic and  along with his non -psychic best friend Gus they are  able to solve crimes. The police detectives call on them or more often than not they invite themselves to join in on cases. In reality Shawn is not pysychic at all just smarter then the whole police force.

This show definitely comes on when those of us with lives are out doing what we do, but I def recommend you DVR it so that when you can't move from your hangover on Saturday morning you have something hilarious and easy to watch to help pass the time.

Hits so far...

Weeds SHO Monday 9:00 EST.

This show has become beyond absurd, however the charcters are so engaging you can't give it up. It's kind of like getting high, its totally bad for you, a waste of your time, but for some reason the laughs make you keep going back...

I'm in it for the long haul, but I am eagerly awaiting the return of Conrad who I predict will be coming back right around the third trimester.

Hung HBO Sundays 10:00 EST

So far we have only seen the season premiere, but I think this show has an interesting concept and a very well laid backstory. The main character Ray is a middle aged high school basketball coach who has fallen upon hard times. After losing his wife to another more successful man, the custody of his twins and then being forced to live in a tent due to a house fire its time for him to find a new way to make ends meet. Unfortuantely for him he only has one blessing and that is that he's "hung". We are left at the end of the finale with Ray having realized that his original marketing plan for his skill wasn't quite right and that he needs to hire a pimp. I like the set-up so far and feel much more inclined to watch this show then Showtime's Secret Diary of a Call Girl. I don't know if that show was boring becuase I'm not British or just cause it sucks but whatever, I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to find anyone singing it's praises.

Not so sure...

Nurse Jackie Mondays SHO 10:30 PM EST

I gave this show a shot because I can still remember how I thought Edie Falco was the best actress ever when she confronted Tony Soprano. She def set it off. And for the real HBO heads she was pretty decent on Oz too. She does not disspoint in her new home on Showtime, however the show does. I have watched only four episodes of the show and I am not left wanting more. There is no story line that has me intrigued enough to not change the channel after Weeds goes off.

I almost wrote a letter to the Channel for this crap...

Jon and Kate plus 8 TLC Mondays 9:00 PM EST

Unlike most of the people who know about Jon and Kate based upon their sudden popularity in the media, I have been watching this family for a long time. I have no qualms about sitting and watching hours and hours of these kids running around to the dentist or on vacations. However, last season I must admit my attention turned away from the children as I began to realize that the interaction between Jon and Kate was getting increasingly uncomfortable for them but more and more entertaining for me. I even got my boyfriend to watch a couple episodes just because we secretly were in awe of Jon having his manhood stomped on on national television.

Still I was shocked, intrigued and had my DVR set (with extra time at the end just in case) for the season premiere. What I witnessed along with the other millions of people was an actual real life family crisis being played out on TV. At the time I was a little bit taken aback by how raw it was but I still wasn't quite bothered by the invasiveness of it all.  In the back of my mind I thought TLC had taped the whole season and knew everything was going to work out and was just trying to show that everyone is human and all couples hit bumps in the road.

Not so much...

No less then 4 weeks later TLC had everyone abuzz that there was a big announcement on this week's Jon and Kate. After a half hour of Kate claiming that she didn't know who Jon was anymore and all but saying he's abandoned her and the kids, as well as a half hour of Jon patting himself on the back for getting from under Kate's foot, calling her oppressive and stating how glad he was to get away from her it was apparent what was going to happen...

I turned the show off as soon a they announced their divorce as I just couldn't believe that two adults saw nothing wrong with playing out such a personal matter on tape so that their kids can in the future see them each talk so badly about each other. I also don't know what TLC executives were so greedy as to think that the ratings on a show airing on THE FREAKIN' LEARNING CHANNEL were worth the heartache to those 6 young children.

O well this isn't my soapbox, but you get the idea, the show is playing reruns with a return still up in the air in August. I encourage people NOT to watch it.

Let's Pick Up Where we Left Off

If I could paid to twitter and gchat and watch TV...life would be Ah-Mazing..but I don't. So I had to go ahead and fall off the face of the earth to work and scratch up the change that this non-profit is paying me thus leaving you all with my thoughts in shortform via Twitter.

So since we last talked..Barack became president, Britney Spears is back!, Michael Phelps smoked some trees, people are losing their jobs and homes left and right and coming back full circle to where I left off...Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska.

I'll give Sarah credit for being slick though..most of us were running around making sure we had enough hot dog rolls and beer, the political commentators were on vacation and she tried to fly under the radar. But true to form NOONE can get away with saying something this absurd and not get noticed. Now that we are all back to work and everyone has their opinions INCLUDING but not limited to Fox News.

I will go ahead and post the video for those who were enjoying the holiday weekend and missed it, but I would totally not waste the 7 minutes of my life if I were you. Sarah Palin did a nice summary for both the intelligent folks who still weren't able to understand what the hell she was trying to say and her "strong fan base" all whom have IQs below 70 with the following analogy:

"A good point guard drives through a full court press, protecting the ball,
keeping her eye on the basket… and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so
that the team can WIN. And I’m doing that – keeping our eye on the ball that
represents sound priorities – smaller government, energy independence, national
security, freedom! And I know when it’s time to pass the ball – for victory.
"-Sarah Palin

If you also are a little bit unclear on how quitting does any of the things that she is claiming she plans to do don't be alarmed the media can't quite figure it out either. Anderson tries to get to the bottom of things in the below clip but only manages to out himself and get us even more confused.

The only way we can all win from this is if Tina Fey comes back out to handle this.

B%$^ are you serious?????

Ok so unlike a lot of my fellow Democrats, I watch Fox News and I watch the RNC because I just NEED to know what the other side is talking about. God forbid I wake up on November 5th and McCain is my President I need to know what his deal is.

So I settled down in my bed bit my lip ,put my fave political commentators on speed dial and watched the RNC keynote. Below are my thoughts as I watched:

Rudolph Giuliani

First thing that crossed my mind, Rudy Giuliani was the first loser and has too many family, infedlity and cross dressing issues to be a keynote at an AA meeting much less the RNC, but these people are known for bad decision making I'm not suprised...let me keep watching.

Next, I notice that there is a hell of alot of crowd participation in the form of booing. What the hell is this?? A convention or a Duke vs Maryland Game? Get it together say something substantial rather then trying to rile up your base. They already paid to come to Minnesota, your goal is to catch the swing voters duh!!!

Ok so Giuliani's speech not too remarkable, a lot of lame jabs at my boy Obama, but he's been brushing his shoulders off for a year now..no worries.

Sarah Palin

Ok cute jacket...but the praises stop there.

So I didn't blog about this, but on the day she was announced did you peep her "let me drop the kids off at school" hairstyle? Get it together.

Well my good friend Aria pointed out that the Topsy Tail phenomenom just reached Alaska because Sarah was definetly rocking one.

Ok but we must not judge people based on poor hair choices time to listen....

My fault let me check the TV Guide is this the Palin family reunion or the RNC? If her 3rd cousin doesn't sit the hell down and stop waving at me. If you don't want us talking about your family don't spend 15 minutes talking about them. A quick intro would be sufficient..NEXT

Ok so things that are going over my head...motherhood, hockey moms, ANYTHING having to do with a small town, pretty much anything having to do with the state of Alaska. Is she serious? What does she think she is accomplishing? Mind you I am sooo bored.

After 30 minutes of telling herself why she should be standing up on this stage (you're already the nominee idiot), she finally gets to her point. And the point is she is a comedian. Well who knew???
Let's take a moment to assess what Palin has to lose here. Ok moment done..NOTHING. Palin can and will lose this election and go back to being the governor of one of the least populated states in our country. She will have gained a little fame and have stories to tell her grandchild (the one on the way). So it makes perfect sense for McCain to put her up there to say everything that none of them has the balls to say. She got to make the most ridiculous claims ever under the shield of being a "strong women".

Well Ms. Palin you not only stepped off the porch but you lifted up your leg and pissed so please know that you are now fair game.

Anyways I digress....so during her stand up comedy routine Palin carefully uses the words "they" and "my opponent" when addressing issues such as motherhood and her experience. Well us college educated Democrats are no strangers to the art of ambiguity and semantics. We are not idiots. Obama, Biden nor the campiagn said ANY of that stuff. The media did, so don't try to act like Obama and company came for you as a women or a mother.
Ok so now that I am having my intelligence insulted Sarah delivers the coup de grace when she says, "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities."

APPLAUSE and CHEERING

This is my damn blog so I'm going to tell you at this point in my room by myself I was like "BITCH are you serious?"

Now I choose to believe that Obama is going to do what he says he going to do. But it is a FACT that this man took his Ivy League education and chose to give back to the community rather then take a big firm job. There is no denying his compassion for other people and his desire to help them. How are you going to #1 say something like that much less ellicit that type of response from the audience. Would these people spit on a homeless person?? I'm beyond done. I can't wait for this madness to end and my sane CNN panel to agree with me...
I tune out the rest of her silliness and then Wolf Blitzer comes on with Anderson and the gang. THEY LOVE IT!!! Rubbing my eyes... it says CNN in the corner right? Not Fox??? WTF is going on?? Did this women say anything about healthcare, the economy??? All she said about Iraq is that her son is going next week?? BTW it was pointed out to me this morning why aren't any of those damn kids in college?? O that's right they are rednecks...

I mean Sarah def drew her line in the sand and played her part. She is going to say all the borderline racists stuff and make claims of elitism and it will be off limits for us to say anything about what a poor excuse for a mother she is. So let's see how many of the 12 sensational topsy styles she can fit in the next few months. ugggg.

Soror Michelle

Ok first. I am so glad that for the next four years we are going to be seeing cute outfits (Maria Pinto a Chicago designer did the above dress). No more denim two piece suits for America!!!

Second, Michelle knows soooo much more than the Dewey Decimal system.

Michelle's speech was AMAZING. Nothing is more convincing then honesty. Michelle has lived on both sides. She has worked hard to achieve her status and education. She is a women, she is Black, she is a mother, she is a wife and she is a professional. Her perspective is so valuable to our country.

I enjoyed her letting us know who SHE is. Who her husband is and why they are the couple that they are and what their similarities and beliefs are.

The Hills are Alive!!

Sooo week one definetly sucked me in. I can't lie Spencer keeps things interesting, being that rude actually takes some thought. And Audrina shut LO down. For a moment (just a brief one) I saw a personality emerge.

Anyways, onto this week...please alert me when Doug says anything of substance. But then again LC hasn't said anything worth repeating for 4 seasons so with those similarities I see a marriage in the near future.

LO needs to go ahead and run her mouth to Audrina's face and not in the safety of the car. She also would have gotten kicked off of Shear Genius with that crazy bang she was rockin. And red lipstick is not for EVERYONE.

Anyways the set-up is getting better and better beacuse we all know that Stephanie is going to be friendless at the end of the season. All I ask is that MTV fire some of the editors. Is Whitney really still relevant? Why did I need to see her take a sip of wine. Get it together.

Stay Tuned

So what had happened was...

Please listen and laugh

As a follow up to the You Tube crack attack. K-Ci called into Hot 97 to clear the air. Here are just a few of my favorite lines:

"I dont even know how to spell cocaine"

"I don't drink Coca-Cola cause it says Coke"

"If you come to my house all your gonna drink is champagne and Crown Royal no cocaine....but ok maybe a little bit of weed."

"I hate Bill Gates, I hate Bill Gates for inventing the computer the computer or whatever that &%^* is called..."

Shame, Shame, SMH. And for the record Miss Jones or Wendy wouldn't have let him tell us this bootleg story! Who is this amatuer?

Punished

The thing about a blog is I can nicely point back to the past and let you know that I called something way back.

Per the usual things aren't looking so good for the Skins.

First, the "golden boy" Jason Taylor is going to be rockin' the nice warm up for the season opener next Thursday.

Second, I am still trying to figure out how one can get injured in a game when your team doesn't even score a touchdown.

I am also trying to figure out how Jim Zorn could form his lips to say he doesn't know what happened beacause he hasn't watched the tape yet. Ummmm it is clear to anyone who watched that disaster that you got MOLLYWOPPED!!!

Statitistics show that the murder rate is DC goes down when the Skins are winning. I'm about to go pick up a Kevlar.
